Recently I had this effect too, with no servers showing up at ingame server browser. I finally found this was a router related problem. Could fix it by these router settings:
UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) => disabled SPI (stateful packet inspection) => disabled DoS Protection => disabled
Additionally you could try to allow "ping from WAN" (internet) at router. Disabling ping from outside seems to cause problems at some routers concerning this MekMatch thing...
(of course you need the MekTek reg patch and some port forwarding (port range 2300-2400 tcp/udp is enough for playing MW4), but I assume this is already done)
If all this doesn't help, as a test set the gaming PC to DMZ from the router console. This will disable NAT firewall for this computer (not recommended as a longterm solutution for security reasons!). Windows XP firewall or any other software firewall should be shut down too.
Hope this helps

Savage, what operating system you using on the offending computer? What IP? What router?
If it is a modem/router from AT&T dsl, you can call their tech support. They went into my modem/router (2Wire) via the internet and changed the settings so I could connect. I did not have a problem until I played on a different computer. Is this similar to your problem?:
"I have a new (to me) somewhat whiz-bang firebreather computer. Have installed Mercs Pr1 with HD Patch, and so far the Veng maps and terrains. When I try to join a game using the MekTek Zone, I get the dreaded:
ERROR Cannot join the selected game, there may be networking problems or the server may be gone
I am using the free version of Zone Alarm and the hardware firewall in my 2Wire DSL Modem. Both are configured to allow MW4. Even with ZA disabled, the problem is the same. The XP firewall is also configured for MW4. Have tried with both software firewalls shut down. HALP!!!!1!!! "
This was Jack's comment, "using a router? you changed pcs and its nic card number is probably different."
My problem was the same with two hard drives, one with XP, the other with Vista. Vista had other issues as well. Get into that later.

Savage, I need more information about your connection problem:
1) Are you telling you want to play MW4 from 2 computers at your LAN simultaneously? This would be a DXPort thing and yes - in this case I could tell ya how to get it working...
2) Or are ya talking about 2 different lan's at separate homes?
This would be totally different situation with quite different workaround.
If ya set Siaboy's computer "to be in the dmz and STILL nothin", maybe there are some hardware problems or network installation issues. In this case ya could try to reinstall network at this puter. Maybe it's corrupted and web browser works, but not MW4. Had something like this on my previous machine.
We could go through it at your TS server, I'll check it from time to time and most time you're in, but afk... Sure, we have to face time zone difference - I'm at Europe, local time is CET (central european time). But at least now at weekend it could be possible, plz let me know...

Well, Saturday "11:00pm central USA time" is Sunday 6:00am central European time, we are 7 hrs ahead at the moment - will check your TS tomorrow, probably somewhat later
But maybe you could try this steps as a first attempt to fix the problem:
1) Assign your computers static LAN ip's 2) Install DXPort on all Computers running Mech 3) Make the router port forwarding rules
How to assign static LAN ip's:
http://wppc.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=Trouble&action=display&num=1192985411
There are 2 ways to assign static LAN ip's: 1) in the router menu 2) at PC network settings
If you plan to unplug the router from time to time, better choose method 2 and assigned your PC to address 192.168.1.100 (example) and the other PC to address 192.168.1.101 (example) at their local network settings. Network settings => your LAN or WLAN connection / right click = properties => TCP/IP / right click = properties => Fill in the entries: fix IP: 192.168.1.100 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 standard gateway: [your router's IP] DNS server: [your router's IP]
Then these settings will last, you can leave your router with the default DHCP server settings, don't need to assign static IP at router.
Router and PC setup for DXPort: http://wppc.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=Trouble&action=display&num=1190616385
You cannot forward the same ports to several machines at same time. This results in messages like "error. port conflict with address 192.168.0.102". This problem can be easily fixed by DXPort running on both PCs in your LAN. DXPort splits the DirectPlay 2300-2400 port range into separate ranges for each PC.
Only the server machine needs the 4 port range entries mentioned below, a client only needs 1 entry (from the 2300-2400 port range) .
Plz try the following router settings (all entries for TCP/UDP): Note: DXPort must be running on both machines with exactly the same port ranges as defined at the router.
- the server machine (your PC) gets the ports: 2302-2311 47624 27999 28800-28809
- the other client PC (Siaboy's PC) gets the ports: 2312-2321
DXPort must be installed at both PC's. Here's the DXPort config for both PCs: The server gets: Start Port: 2302 End Port: 2311
The other PC gets: Start Port: 2312 End Port: 2321
Hope this helps ~S~

FROST! My dear freind! You freekin ROCK! There was actually two different problems. DX port fixed one of them and I did a defrag and repaired his connection in network connections. It fixed Siaboy's issues and now we can shoot him in the butt !
