From HAWK.
"Actually, doum, you are missing some info, with rank in BF2 comes not better wepons, just different ones. it still really depends on you skill, you just have more options.
"

Sorry Hawk but i dont see it as you do. I try BF2 for a month and a half and then get tired of it and decide to destroyed the CD game to protest against that supposedly great game. BF1942 is a marvelously great game. BF2 is not at all. So, first i saw players shooting trought wall and killing everyone trought a wall cause it have the rank to own that weapon. Tho its what everyone was saying. It seem ok for everyone to dye like that. In 1942 you dont shoot trough wall. Second, in BF2 the map are so small that you are restrictive in the movement. Even jet fighter have trouble doing a small turn without leaving the map. In BF1942 you have about the same land mass but you also have an entire ocean to play in. You can pilot battleship cruiser or destroyers or submarine or even pilot an aircarrier. You can use the destroyer to hunt down the submarine with sonar and depth charges. So while some are fighting on land, other are fighting on ocean or under it. It is also possible to make a combine attack with the destroyers and the landing boat and the airplane. Also one bullet kill. Not in BF2, they seem to have an advance bulletproof vest. So an entire clip is needed or a bullet in the head. Weird reality.

So, i maintain it. BF1942, Halo, Mechwarrior, Giant Kabuto or game like that are good. BF2, BF 2042 aint. StarWar Battlefront is barely fun.

It is the game i like. You have yours. Crysis is using rank in their multiplayers game so i dont enjoy it and i dont play it.

If they do the same for their MechWarrior game then i wont play it neither. It will be so deceiving cause i will have to play with old game till something fun is create.
The more it goes the less i play game.
I'm wondering how many are giving up computer game now.

MWLL does look impressive and I'm glad someone is developing the next generation of mech games.

I imagine that air power is going to significantly affect game play... in the old campaign games, planes and helicopters were sparsely used and were a bit slow. The MWLL aircraft look faster and deadlier. We all know what the advent of air power did to the battleships of old. I hope the same doesn't happen to mechs!

Perhaps the aircraft weaponry will be restricted due to the limited carrying capacities of the planes. It's bad enough being harrassed by ravens... I can't imagine what it would be like trying to fend off a squadron of jet fighters. Now if there were modified mechs that supported two crew members... that would be awesome. One would pilot the mech and handle the main weapons while the other would be in a separate turret manning secondary weapons including AA batteries. Wishful thinking, though, since I don't think such things exist in the BattleTech universe.

I guess the answer is that every mech force requires its own air support. Without air cover, your mechs might not last long on the ground.

yea! All new tactic will be needed now.

By the way, if WPPC want their clan logo (Poster is more accurate) include in MWLL i saw something in there about having a clan to have a poster of his clan shown permanently in some of their maps.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/8528/mechwarrior-living-legends

It's in the middle of that page. You have to postulate tho. If you want a poster of WPPC clan to be in there forever then i suggest that one of you applied. wink Good luck!

the air support well defintly add a new aspect. I think there going to be used as a scouting vehicle than an attack platfrom. Besides it will be fun zipping aruond peoples heads and zaping them.

If it is just a scout plane then ok. But in the video, we see a squadron of plane attacking! And we also see one plane destroy a tank pretty fast. So they might be able to hit pretty hard. A few of them must be able to damage or destroy a Battlemech. A plane can certainly destroy a nanosuit fighter. Or a jeep,a truck, another plane. Air fight trough the city. WOW! Now that will be funn. Thats it. My next test map for crysis will be a city and i arange it to be VTOL fight into it. LOL. Ill made it windy. cheesy Cya somewhere.

Now looking at the number of players in mektek( a hundred at best) i think that 99.9999% of the mechwarrior players were brawl players. Since brawl is not played anymore, that may explain why there are only a hundred players in mercenary instead of many thousands as it was before.

So majority were brawl players and now only "the hide and snipe rdr off" players stay behind to play that? . They better make it brawls game in the new MW game they're making or there will be only a few hundred in those new game they are making. No money there to make.

EA has an application that scans your computer to see if it will run Crysis. Mine passed in every respect except the DVD drive. Already have a replacement, just have to install it. Look in upper left of page for scan.

cry

Can't play in crysis anymore. Like many players. Bugs and bugs problem with crysis. No multiplayers are playable. Their patch 1.1 destroy most of it. I can only fly on the map i'm creating.

Then they give us the patch 1.2. Then i read bout it. Argggg everything are scrap. People are loosing their game. Then they tell us that we need to reinstall crysis without the patch 1.1 and then do some programing to be able to install the patch 1.2 and for many it aint working at all.

So i might give up soon on crysis and aint sure at all that i will want to buy or install MWLL. Great movie and picture but for the rest ...... cry

Hailz all

MWLL is a great looking game seen the new video preview with the new crysis type engine fantastic!huh

However, this game will be one hell've System Resource Debacle. From what i understand you will have to have Crysis first 50-60 dollar game before you can play MWLL, because MWLL will be and extention edition to Crysis, much like Black Knight was to Vengence. Also MWLL will cost about the same 50-60 dollars for a total of 100-120 something dollars in games alone, not to mention the massive system that it will require just to run the dam thing 2500 dollar setup just to run it at a decent rate lol yeh forget that bout anchor you got sitting on top of your table or where ever it is that you keep your current PC.

No most of the clans and MWL in mp3 are waiting on the arrival and going with MW5 Dark Ages http://mechwarrioronline.com coming out late this year. Its a standalone game alot like MW4 Mercs and will not require a total machine replacement nor another addon game, yeh true some PC mods will be necessary but not detreumental lol. And the same basic mod engine as MWLL. MW5 is also closer to the real idea of Mechwarrior and Battletech originality from mechs to weapons to armory and in real time,(in other words if you start a battle in the morning and fight all day long from sun up to sunset in real time, damage to buildings and mechs as well....

Yeh MWLL will be one hell've investment good luck
