We have had alot of fun there tonight with our friends. We will be home all day tomorrow looking for some good mechwarriors in server! Can't wait to see you all there! Please come in and join the brawl!

Still need to fix that 2 life thing in mission games. In other news: Have you seen how BIG some venge maps are now? !!!! Dustbowl is gigantic and the map in big city is way too big.. lol

Ahh, but they're fun! Some of the maps we are use to in Venge are much bigger here,but that just means more room for more people to come and play with us. grin

There were maybe a few I would of liked to seen stay the same, but I think for the most part I dig em'.

Hope to see you all there today! I've got server up and am ready to play!

Is it just me..or are we having moar fun now?

I am really enjoying the new server and the new folks dropping in. I think the fact every time we show up the server gets filled is a good indication of how excited folks are to have a different style of Pure Tech server out there.

Initially, I though that the Clan mechs would have a huge advantage and would dominate all the games....however afer a few rounds in a Cyclops or in mah Longbow quickly showed me that IS has a wicked punch too! I think Buns really loved mah Longbow in that Palace Gates map last night.. POW! LOL tongue

I also have noticed the idiots and trolls avoid Pure Tech...which is bonus!

I really love the Sunder Missions server..but I also really am enjoying WPPC's Battle and Team Battle stuff in PT.

Now...I am ready to see how Koth and STB work in Puretech!

Jack, for a dedicated Mercs server you have to edit the map nfm file:

Frost? once again you saved my bacon... THANKS MAN! I would have NEVER have thought of that... From the coding it looked like we all had ONE LIFE! Which should be right. I would never in a million years have guessed that was it. Thanks man! I think I got just about all of the mission maps changed now. I may have missed a few but I got 90% at least.

Ok! With that out of the way... *cough* Oh look! This doesn't work either! Ehh... Anyone have any idea how to get the Capture the Flag and Steal the Bacon maps in and voteable? I put them in and they read "Custom Undefined" which I'm guessing is normal but when I try to vote one of these maps in... it just freezes on the last map and loads that one instead. I'm VERY sure I have the mapcycle written wrong but can someone show me an instance where the line of code works? I can take it from there if I just see how one works! Please?

YES! It is a BLAST! I know about the PT keeping some of the trolling away.. was part of the plan.. heheh... also it puts us all on a level playing field imo. We see an uber mech kicking butt we can pretty much guess what is on it from it being either IS or clan! I can't wait to get CTF working.... I'll no doubt have the server FFP by the end of the month so be looking for that. About Spiff.. I text him daily to get mercs... even adding the buttons to the top of the page to further incite him.. Peer pressure folks... everyone send him a PM and demand he be in on Wednesday..

Great games tonight! I think even Spiff made it to the party. Can't be sure though... lol.. Anyway, we got a mission game down... it worked GREAT! Thanks Frost. The PalaceGates game was madness... snipers vs ankle biters... lol Anyway, I'll have to get use to Wetlands with so much heat! MAN! I never knew that swamp could get so warm... Some mean ol Varmint had me shut down with inferno missiles for 30% of the round!. tongue

So the new patch came out today:

It fixed a whole bunch of problems and gave server hosts a half a dozen new options to control in the server. Such as stopping trolls from suiciding... niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Not really been a problem yet but hey, good to have the option. Also a new view? Extended View. Didn't get a chance to mess with it tonight. It also fixed those red dots around your reticule. They are more accurate now to show an obstacle in your weapons path. Nice! We got a new mech to boot! A Clan 65 ton brawler with jump jets! It is VERY nice! It reminded me of my evil Gesu...... It's super effective... ehhe

Trouble was the patch came out today and I'd say half the people were stuck on .27!

Good games tonight though! Even if we only had a few. Yard and Night Hawk came in and whooped some butt. Boomstick murdered me a million times with his Sunder... hehe

Hey guys. I saw your link on the Sunder Junkies site and figured I would drop by. I've dropped into your server a couple of times now and had fun. I mostly play in Sunder though. I love mission play. I do miss CTF action from Vengeance. I have fond memories of Big City and Timberline. I enjoyed taking a Raven as a runner, both for its good electronics and for the weird way it moves which makes it hard to hit. I've not really had as much fun with CTF in Mercs because some of the new mechs, like the Dasher, leave the older ones in the dust. But, I would like to try my hand at it again. I imagine an 8 ERLL Supernova would be a good defender.

I do run a site that might be useful to you guys. It's a wiki based on Mercs and it has cool ways of comparing the new mechs to the old by clicking on a stat number. Plus you can download some of the custom configs people have submitted (not enough of those on there though) or add your own. Wiki site here

Hello guys and Seth! Officially welcome to the forums! I know as soon as you got here you started helping me get our new server running smoothly. Thank you SOOO much for that. All those maps work like a charm now! wink You rawk, dude!

As for this week, sorry I've been MIA. Work has been nuts! I've not even been able to get in those random impromptu games on Tuesday,Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I've wanted to though! Bah! Hope next week I can relax a bit more. Sheesh!

Anyway, all geared up for mech tonight! w00t!



(Side note- Boomstick was just in the server and changed the map to bloodpitB and for what ever reason it crashed the server. I have no idea why... looking into it folks!)
